How much does Unbabel cost?
Unbabel publishes no prices. The site offers a demo, a call with an expert and a customer portal, but no pricing page. Comparing it with services that list rates means talking to sales first.
Built for multilingual customer support
Unbabel plugs into Zendesk, Salesforce and Intercom so agents can answer customers in their own language. AI translates continuously, and human review kicks in when quality calls for it. A Quality Estimation system scores each translation, and the MT Score tool compares third-party engines. Named customers include Wargaming, Rakuten TV, Kongregate and TuneCore.
Humans read the text, under NDA
Unbabel’s reviewers, spread around the world, get no information about the customer, see personal data pseudonymized and sign non-disclosure agreements. Data stays encrypted in transit and at rest while they work. For an adult site, a person may read a member’s message without knowing which site it came from.
Unbabel security
Unbabel holds ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification and says it complies with GDPR and CCPA. Data at rest uses AES-256, transfers use TLS 1.2 or 1.3, and personal data anonymized for processing stays encrypted until it is re-identified.
Who owns Unbabel
Unbabel was founded in Lisbon in 2013 and belongs to the TransPerfect group, led by Phil Shawe. The contracting entity is Unbabel Inc., at 345 California Street, San Francisco. The unbabel.com domain dates from 2000.
