Osclass has already survived the death of its publisher: born in 2011, left unmaintained in 2019, picked up in 2020. Its core is free under Apache 2.0, a licence permitting any use, but taking a payment needs a paid add-on.
HivePress's terms say nothing about adult content, but they only govern the website: the plugin is GPL, and that licence permits no restriction on use. Its core is free and already bills for listings.
HivePress uses WordPress and WooCommerce, which also need maintenance. Osclass runs independently. HivePress’s core is licensed under the GPL, while Osclass uses Apache 2.0. The decision concerns the environment you will maintain as much as the directory’s appearance.
The free HivePress core can already charge for listings, but themes and access to the full extension collection can add costs. Osclass requires a paid extension to take payments. Compare the cost with your required features in place, then check the terms for continued access to updates.
