How Translated pricing works
Translated prices each job online in a few seconds from the text or file you upload, in 272 languages, per word of the source text. The quote shows several levels: machine translation with no human review, light review, a specialized native translator with a quality expert, an added specialized reviser, and a copywriter coordinated by a creative director. The delivery date you pick also affects the price. No price list is published outside the quote.
For developers, Translated sells APIs that add human review under an agreed service level, and Lara, its own machine translation engine.
Country variants for Mexico, Brazil and the US
The quote tool splits languages by country: Spanish for Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, Latin America and the United States, Portuguese for Brazil or Portugal, and French for Canada or France. A US site can order Spanish for its own Hispanic audience rather than a generic version.
Paying after delivery, and the guarantees
With Pay After Delivery, you pay within five days of receiving the translation, by card, bank transfer or PayPal. If a translation is not satisfactory, Translated revises it at its own cost, and if the second version is still unacceptable you get a partial or full refund. A delay of more than a third of the agreed time that is solely Translated’s fault is refunded up to 100%. Translated says more than 95% of its jobs arrive on time.
Translated and advertising copy
The sales conditions state that Translated is not liable for translations that are not stylistically satisfactory, and that for advertising and promotional material the service is limited to simple translation unless expressly requested. For a landing page or a model bio meant to convert, put the request in writing or choose the creative level.
Complaints and cancellations
A complaint only counts if it arrives by registered mail with return receipt within seven days of delivery, with the originals, the disputed translation and a letter of explanation. After that, the translation is deemed accepted. A cancelled order is billed at 100% for work done and 50% for work outstanding.
