M3Server review: managed KVS tube hosting, no root access

m3server.com

M3Server has hosted websites since 1996 from Spokane, Washington, and sells ready-made plans for the KVS and Elevated X adult scripts. The KVS VPS costs $39 a month, dedicated servers start at $99.99 with 324 TB of transfer, and every plan is managed, without root access.

Our take on M3Server

M3Server suits a tube owner launching on Kernel Video Sharing or a paysite on Elevated X who wants the host to install and maintain the server, and who gets paid through Paxum.

It is the wrong choice for anyone who wants root access, and a growing video library costs far more in disk than in server: 10 TB of storage on the entry dedicated server costs almost five times the machine.

M3Server dedicated server pricing and storage costs

The M3XS-4 costs $99.99 a month for a 4-core AMD EPYC, 16 GB of ECC RAM, 250 GB of NVMe in RAID and 324 TB of transfer on an unmetered 1 Gbps uplink. The range tops out at $799.99 for 64 cores and 256 GB.

The order form shows where the bill grows on a video site:

  • Storage: 1 TB for $37.99 more a month, 10 TB for $487.99, 50 TB for $2,487.99.
  • Uplink: 10 Gbps for $449, 20 Gbps for $1,149.
  • Transfer: 1 PB for $250, with overage at $0.50 per TB on every tier.
  • M3SafeVault backup: 10 TB for $150, unticked by default.

M3Server KVS bundles

Three Kernel Video Sharing bundles come with the discount already applied: KVS VPS at $39 a month (4 CPUs, 4 GB, 200 GB SSD, 65 TB), KVS VPS+Cloud at $105 (6 CPUs, 8 GB, 2 TB of cloud storage, 100 TB) and KVS Dedicated at $195 (quad-core, 32 GB, 2 TB SSD, 1 Gbps unmetered). FFmpeg, IonCube and Memcached are ready, and script installation is free. Elevated X bundles carry a 40% lifetime discount.

Managed means no root access at M3Server

M3Server defines managed hosting as your own server without full control: no root on Linux, no administrator on Windows. You manage data over FTP or similar remote access and through the M3Admin panel. cPanel is not offered.

Paxum payments and refunds

M3Server takes Paxum, and the code PAXUMPAY50 cuts the first month by 50%. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers VPS and reseller plans paid by card or PayPal. Dedicated servers are excluded, and ID plus a scan of the card may be required for a dedicated order.

M3Server's Romanian servers

A separate site, m3server.eu, served over plain HTTP, sells servers in Romania priced in dollars and euros, from a $15 VPS Pro with 1 GB and 5 TB. The main site does not link to it.

M3Server vs MojoHost

MojoHost rents servers from $39 a month with 2 cores, 8 GB, 250 GB of NVMe and 324 TB of transfer, and leases tube script licenses. M3Server stands out with turnkey KVS and Elevated X bundles and Paxum payments, but gives no root access.
