HostZealot review: VPS and dedicated servers in 20+ cities

Where a HostZealot server really sits

HostZealot states that a server's physical location may differ from the geolocation of its IP addresses, some locations being set up for regulatory compliance and content access.

HostZealot VPS pricing and the three-month minimum

The KVM-SSD 512 VPS, with 2 Xeon cores, 512 MB of RAM and 10 GB of SSD, costs $5.87 a month with unmetered traffic, or $5.29 a month paid yearly. A metered version with 1 TB of traffic is the $5.08 headline price. Every VPS has a three-month minimum term and there is no free trial.

Unmetered does not mean guaranteed speed: VPS nodes share a 1 or 10 Gbps uplink, and HostZealot does not promise any VPS the full port speed. Renewal prices stay frozen as long as the configuration does not change.

HostZealot dedicated servers

There are 44 dedicated servers in stock across 13 cities, each with a 1 Gbps port and 30 TB of traffic, prices excluding tax. The cheapest, at $46 a month, is a dual-core Core i3-2120 in Toronto with 8 GB of DDR3 and two 500 GB SATA drives. In the US, servers sit in Ashburn, Chicago, Dallas and Seattle. Dedicated servers are never refunded.
