Casbay's two cheapest dedicated servers, at $75.99 and $86.99 a month, are sold out, so the first machine you can order costs $96.99 a month. All run dual Xeon E3 or E5 chips at 2.20 GHz with ECC memory, two IP addresses and an unmetered 100 Mbps port.

Prices fall with term length across six steps, from one month to three years, with no higher renewal rate stated. A 100 Mbps port running flat out moves about 32 TB a month, roughly 160,000 plays of a 200 MB clip. That covers a small tube, and no plan raises it. VPS plans run in Malaysia and Singapore on the same port.

What happens when a Casbay server is attacked

A server under DDoS attack is null-routed first. On a second recurring attack Casbay suspends the server and charges a one-time $110 to reinstate it. On a third, the subscription is terminated with no refund. Adult sites draw these attacks, so put a filtering service in front of the server.

Casbay refunds and billing

VPS, dedicated servers, colocation, setup fees, licenses and add-ons are never refunded, and neither are crypto payments. For shared hosting the terms contradict themselves: 24 hours after the first purchase in one section, 30 days in another.

Cancellation needs 30 days notice before the renewal date. More important, a yearly contract cancelled early is rebilled at the monthly terms, which cost more: you only keep the term discount if you see the contract through.

An invoice unpaid ten days past due suspends the account, with a possible $30 reconnection fee and $80 to rebuild the server after ten days of suspension. If Casbay terminates for a reason outside its acceptable use policy, it refunds the remaining paid period.
