XBIZ.net review: the adult industry’s B2B social network

xbiz.net

XBIZ.net is the adult industry’s professional social network, run by Adnet Media, the Los Angeles company behind XBIZ. It lists 30,988 members, 35,278 discussions and 6,523 job and business opportunities, and it is open only to people who work in or supply the industry.

Our verdict on XBIZ.net

XBIZ.net suits an adult industry professional in the US who wants a profile that studios, programs and vendors can find, and a feed of jobs and service requests tied to the XBIZ magazine and its shows. Think of it as the industry’s LinkedIn.

It is less useful for reading threads before joining, or for promoting a program without buying XBIZ advertising.

Who can join XBIZ.net?

Only people who work in the adult industry or provide products and services to it, and Adnet Media may deactivate other sign-ups. The form asks for a profile URL, country, time zone, web links and a primary line of business from a long list, from membership and fan sites, cams and dating to studios, content licensing, pleasure products and web hosting. Birthday is optional, and no membership fee is published.

What XBIZ.net offers members

Members keep a professional profile, connect with others, join discussions, post company news and browse Business Opportunities: job listings, service requests and special offers. The network counts 486,345 connections, 49 market segments and 154 countries, and roughly 70 new discussions appear every ten days. The public member directory shows each username and company, while full profiles need a login.

XBIZ Media pitches the network as more than 10,000 member profiles, eight minutes per visit and an audience that is 80% desktop and 70% North American, 20% European and 5% Asian. That profile count sits well below the 30,988 members shown on the home page.

XBIZ.net posting rules

Promotional threads are reserved for XBIZ advertisers and sponsors, and event threads for its media partners. Promotional private messages, duplicate threads or listings and anonymous profiles are banned, and a signature can carry one static image. Posts may stay online after an account is closed, and reproducing XBIZ.net content is prohibited.
