TotemCash review: two years of iStripper rev share

totemcash.com

TotemCash is the affiliate program for iStripper, the desktop stripper app made by Totem Entertainment. It pays 50% of every purchase a referred customer makes for up to two years, after billing fees and VAT, with payouts every two weeks and a 10% referral bonus.

Our verdict on TotemCash

TotemCash suits sites with US, German, French or Japanese desktop traffic that want repeat buyers rather than one-off bounties. iStripper sells credits, and the program says most customers buy more than five times, so the two-year window does the work.

Mobile-heavy sites will earn less on a product built for desktops. US affiliates should also note that the default program is rev share only: pay per install, worth $1 per US install, is on the FAQ but not on the signup form.

How TotemCash calculates your 50%

For every customer tracked to you, TotemCash pays 50% of each purchase for up to two years, after deducting the billing processor's fee and any VAT. Fees run from 12% for NetBilling and SegPay card payments to 12.5% for Epoch cards and RocketGate, and 15% for Epoch's PayPal, iDEAL, Sofort or paysafecard options. The VAT list in the agreement covers European countries only, from 17% in Luxembourg to 27% in Hungary.

Referrals pay 10% of what TotemCash pays the affiliates you bring in.

Pay per install rates by country

The FAQ also describes a pay per install program worth up to $1 per install, with a public rate table: $1.00 for the US and Germany, $0.70 for Japan, $0.65 for the UK, $0.50 for Canada, $0.40 for Australia, and as little as $0.01 for India or $0.05 for Brazil. The signup form only offers "Revenue Sharing (50% revshare) - Mobile + desktop traffic", so ask your manager if you want per-install pay.

TotemCash payouts every two weeks

Pay periods last two weeks, and rev share is paid eight days after each period ends. New affiliates get their first payment after their second full period. The minimum is $100 by default and can go down to $50.

The agreement lists Paxum at $2 per payment, wire transfers above $1,000 at $45 each, and Bitcoin above $500 on request. The FAQ still mentions checks and FirstChoicePay, which the agreement no longer lists. Before the first payment, individuals send photo ID and a utility bill or bank statement matching their profile address.

What iStripper sells

iStripper is a free desktop app that puts filmed models on the user's screen without a background. Customers buy credits to unlock their shows: 30 credits for €4.99 up to 2,500 for €199.99 at the prices shown to a visitor in France. Former VirtuaGirl, DeskBabes and VirtuaGuyHD customers you referred stay yours under the iStripper name. The VR Paradise game from the same group is not part of TotemCash: its own program offers 30% by email.

Promo tools include animated popping models, a sliding video, banners, MP4 videos and photo galleries, with live stats by campaign and product and server-to-server callbacks.

TotemCash trademark and email rules

You cannot bid on iStripper, VirtuaGirl, DeskBabes, VirtuaGuyHD or VRParadise, or use them in ad text, site names, URLs or video titles without written consent. Every promotional email must carry "SEXUALLY-EXPLICIT:" in the subject line under the FTC rule, and spam forfeits all funds due. Accounts with no new customer for six months are closed, and termination for breach cancels even earned commissions.

Strengths and limits of TotemCash

Strengths

  • Two-year attribution on a product people buy repeatedly.
  • Published fee grid for each billing processor.
  • Payouts every two weeks, from $50.
  • Distinctive promo tools, from popping models to S2S callbacks.

Limitations

  • A desktop product, weaker on mobile traffic.
  • Rev share after VAT and up to 15% in fees.
  • Pay per install missing from the signup form.
  • Account closed after six months without a new customer.

TotemCash vs GammaStats

GammaStats pays $30 to $40 per sale or up to 60% across close to 200 subscription sites, but only counts sales within 24 hours of the click. TotemCash keeps the customer for two years on a single credit-based product and also pays every two weeks from $50. If your readers come back to buy later, TotemCash pays you for it.
