Oxylabs review: big proxy pool, monthly plans only

oxylabs.io

Oxylabs is a Vilnius proxy provider founded in 2015 that claims more than 175 million residential IPs across 195 countries. Residential and mobile traffic is sold in monthly plans from $30, and five US datacenter IPs can be tested free for a month.

Our verdict on Oxylabs

Oxylabs suits adult webmasters and affiliates who burn through a steady amount of residential or mobile traffic every month, such as rank tracking or offer checks across several countries. City-level targeting and sessions that can hold one IP for a full day are the main draws.

For occasional spot checks it is an expensive habit. Every plan is a monthly subscription, unused traffic expires after a month, and no pay-as-you-go rate appears on the public pricing. Start with the free datacenter IPs before paying.

Oxylabs pricing for residential and mobile proxies

Oxylabs residential proxies cost $6 per GB on the 5 GB Starter plan and drop to $2.50 per GB on the 1 TB Corporate plan, billed monthly. Mobile proxies follow the same four tiers.

PlanResidentialMobile
Starter5 GB, $304 GB, $30
Basic20 GB, $10015 GB, $100
Advanced125 GB, $500100 GB, $500
Corporate1 TB, $2,500715 GB, $2,500

Static ISP proxies are rented per IP, from $1.60 down to $1.20 shared and from $3.20 down to $2.50 dedicated. Shared datacenter traffic starts under $0.60 per GB. VAT may be added at checkout.

Traffic expiry and the three-day refund window

Purchased traffic is valid for one calendar month, and whatever is left then expires. A refund has to be requested within three days of the first payment, with less than 20% of the traffic used, or 10% on Enterprise plans, and never on a suspended account. Payment works by card, PayPal, Alipay, Google Pay or Apple Pay, with wire transfers arranged through sales. Oxylabs does not take crypto, which matters for affiliates who keep their earnings in stablecoins.

Testing Oxylabs with five free datacenter IPs

A free account gets five US datacenter IPs for one month, with 5 GB of traffic and no credit card. That is enough to check how a landing page loads from a US address or to wire Oxylabs into a tracking tool. Residential and mobile IPs, the ones that look like real visitors, are paid only.

Why Oxylabs bans invalid ad traffic

Oxylabs’ Acceptable Use Policy forbids generating invalid ad traffic through clicks or impressions. Test tracking links at a checking volume, never by simulating visits.

Targets the residential network blocks

The residential pool refuses streaming, banking and finance, government sites, gaming, ticketing, webmail and IP lookup sites. Google Tag Manager and DoubleClick are on the list too, so a page that loads its tags through Google Tag Manager may render without them over these proxies, which skews any pixel or conversion check. Some targets open up after a short KYC step with support, and every customer answers a KYC questionnaire before getting access at all.

Geo-targeting and sticky sessions

Residential IPs can be targeted by continent, country, state, city, ZIP code, coordinates or ASN. A session keeps the same IP for ten minutes by default, or until a minute without requests, and a parameter stretches it to 1,440 minutes. Because the pool runs on household devices, an IP can still drop earlier. HTTP, HTTPS, HTTP/3 and SOCKS5 are supported.

For a cam or dating offer that geo-redirects, this is the setting that matters: a Texas IP and a São Paulo IP show what each visitor actually lands on.

Strengths and limitations of Oxylabs

Strengths

  • 175M+ residential IPs claimed in 195 countries.
  • City, ZIP and ASN targeting, sessions up to 24 hours.
  • Free datacenter IPs for a month.

Limitations

  • Monthly plans only on public pricing.
  • Traffic expires after one month.
  • Obscene or indecent left to Oxylabs’ sole judgment.
  • Google Tag Manager blocked on residential.
  • No crypto payments.

Oxylabs vs Decodo for light use

Decodo, also based in Vilnius, sells residential traffic at $11.25 for 3 GB a month or $4 per GB with no subscription. For a few gigabytes of checks a month, Decodo is the cheaper and more flexible pick. Oxylabs gets to $4 per GB from 125 GB a month and $2.50 on Corporate.
