.xxx, .porn, .adult and .sex all cost €142.28 to register and €132.13 to transfer in, including French VAT. Renewal is where they split: €156 a year for .xxx and €252 for the other three, 77% more than the first year. Restoring one after expiry costs €184.69.

A .xxx stays inactive without industry ID

Gandi reserves .xxx for members of the adult entertainment industry: outsiders can register one to block it, but the name stays inactive. Members must identify themselves with the registry to activate their domains, so skip .xxx at Gandi unless you plan to do that.

How much a .com costs at Gandi

A .com costs €13.20 the first year and to transfer in, then €38.38 to renew, or €34.54 a year on a two- to nine-year renewal. Renewed year by year, that is close to €90 over three years. Late renewal stays possible at the same price for 45 days after expiry, then restoring costs €60. The .com page still shows a March 2022 banner promising €7.96 excluding VAT, which is not the price charged.

Forwarding addresses on your domain are free and unlimited, but a real mailbox is a separate subscription, from €4.99 a month or €59.88 a year before VAT.
