Easy Pay Direct review: what an adult merchant account costs

easypaydirect.com

Easy Pay Direct is an Austin, Texas broker that places high-risk merchant accounts, adult included, in the merchant’s own name with one of 30-plus partner banks. It publishes 2.69% + $0.36 for online card payments and $99 for setup, waived within 24 hours, but quotes adult accounts individually.

Our verdict on Easy Pay Direct

Easy Pay Direct fits a US adult products store, membership or dating business that wants its own merchant account, ACH alongside cards and routing across more than one bank. Standard accounts carry no lock-in or early termination fee.

The published rate is a benchmark, not your adult price: adult accounts are priced after underwriting. Get a written quote, and check the monthly fee, listed at $36 on one page and $25 on another.

How much does Easy Pay Direct cost?

The published rates are 2.69% + $0.36 per online card payment, 1.59% + $0.19 swiped, and 1% + $0.29 per ACH or eCheck payment. Setup is $99, waived if all underwriting documents arrive within 24 hours, and the monthly fee is typically $36. Chargeback fees, PCI support and decline recovery tools are included, and standard accounts have no lock-in or early termination fee.

Adult works differently. Adult accounts are priced after underwriting, at interchange plus a markup based on your volume, average ticket, chargeback history and vertical, and the company says it does not publish teaser rates for them. Interchange-plus pricing generally applies from about $50,000 a month in volume.

Which adult businesses Easy Pay Direct underwrites

Easy Pay Direct places each adult business on a dedicated merchant account with the correct adult MCC, matched with a bank that works that vertical, instead of a payment facilitator’s shared account. The list covers adult toys and products, membership and subscription sites, adult dating, cam and live-streaming platforms, escort directories, adult phone lines, male enhancement and sexual wellness, with other adult-adjacent models reviewed case by case.

Transactions can be routed across several accounts so one bank problem doesn’t stop sales. eCheck and ACH can be added to any adult account as a second rail for subscriptions and high tickets. The gateway connects to more than 500 carts and tools, with recurring billing, retries and chargeback alerts built in.

What underwriting asks for

Expect to provide formation documents, a voided check or bank letter, three months of processing and bank statements, and government ID for owners. Banks may also ask for checkout screenshots, refund and privacy policies, financial statements and dispute history. Adult files get an answer within 24 to 48 hours once complete, and clean files in general within one to four business days. The bank sets per-transaction, daily and monthly limits, and a fast spike in volume can trigger a new review.

Funding times and rolling reserves

Deposits typically land two to three business days after the sale, sometimes next day depending on the bank, and ACH settles more slowly. If the bank requires a rolling reserve, a share of each batch is held for a period that commonly runs 90 to 180 days: with 10% held for 90 days, 10% of today’s volume comes back about three months later. Easy Pay Direct doesn’t set reserves or funding schedules. Accounts are placed in the US, Canada and the EU, with settlement in USD, CAD or EUR.

Easy Pay Direct vs Corepay and Cardflo

Corepay and Cardflo also open merchant accounts in your name.
