Is the plus plan cheaper?
The plus plan swaps the percentage for a flat fee: $99 to set up, credited back after launch, then $199 a month once the site is live, using your own processor accounts. Usage fees come on top: $0.25 per active or recently cancelled subscription, $0.10 per transaction, $0.016 per GB stored, $0.03 per age verification and $0.14 per viewer per live hour. Encoding, SSL, DDoS protection and 24/7 support for you and your members are free. My Member Site publishes a spreadsheet comparing this cost with Elevated X on MojoHost. As a rough guide, the flat plan starts to pay off once your monthly sales are high enough that the percentage cut exceeds $199 plus usage.
Payouts and the 14-day reserve
Incoming payments sit in a reserve for 14 days, then move to an available balance you can withdraw on demand. Methods include bank transfers, Paxum, PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard via Paxum and crypto (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC, USDT), with minimums of $5 to $10.
How long does site approval take?
Every site is reviewed against the content policy before launch, and your models must be entered correctly. On a mymember.site address, approval usually comes within a few hours and you can launch right away. A custom domain has to be submitted to the payment processors as well: Segpay and PayPal usually take 3 to 5 business days, CCBill up to 21. Once any processor approves, you must launch within 48 hours. You can keep uploading content and changing prices during the review.
Can members download or rip your videos?
Members can download videos as MP4 files, and every video carries a watermark with your site name and the member's email and username. Bulk downloading with browser extensions or ripping apps is blocked by optional DRM, still in beta, at $0.05 per month for each member who watched at least one video. DRM needs the paid original file backups option, and videos uploaded without a stored original have to be replaced to get it.
Is My Member Site legit?
The mymember.site domain has been registered since August 2017, and member payments go through CCBill and Segpay. The weak point is accountability: neither the site nor its terms name a company, an address or a registration number, so there is no legal entity to pursue if a payout goes missing.
