FanClaw review: a $49 AI chatter you run on your own laptop

fanclaw.ai

FanClaw is a macOS and Windows app that lets an AI handle a creator’s DMs, PPV sales and posting on OnlyFans, Fansly, Instagram, X, Reddit, TikTok and Telegram through her own browser. It costs a flat $49 a month with no commission, and access is currently by waitlist.

Our take on FanClaw

FanClaw makes sense for a solo creator who wants an AI drafting her OnlyFans replies while she approves them, at a fixed price instead of the percentage an agency or a chatter team takes.

Hands-off mode is another matter. The agent is built to mimic human behavior and slip past bot detection, which is what platforms ban accounts for, and OnlyFans expects AI-written replies to be disclosed to fans. Add a waitlist with no date and a one-person French business behind a site that describes a funded, four-city startup, and FanClaw is a tool to try carefully once you get in.

What FanClaw costs next to an agency

FanClaw charges $49 a month, flat, with no revenue share, no per-fan fees and a seven-day free trial that needs no card. A page earning $5,000 a month would pay $1,000 to an agency on a 20% cut and still $49 to FanClaw. Billing is monthly and can be cancelled at any time, but the month already started is not refunded.

Getting the app is the harder part. The Mac and Windows download buttons open a waitlist form: FanClaw says it onboards creators in waves and emails the download link when a spot opens, with no timeline.

What the FanClaw agent does, and how much it does alone

FanClaw drives the creator’s own browser sessions, with no platform API, and reads each page through a small vision model on the machine. It replies to fans in her writing style, keeps a memory of each fan so it never re-offers content he already bought, runs PPV sales, follow-ups and tips, and posts or engages on the social networks. It writes text only, with no voice cloning.

Autonomy comes in four levels, from reviewing every action (level 1) and approving in batches (level 2) to letting the agent handle most things (level 3) or everything (level 4). Refunds, blocks and fan deletions always go back to the creator.

Can FanClaw get your OnlyFans or Reddit account banned?

FanClaw markets its automation as human-like, with typing speed, pauses and corrected typos, and says it accounts for anti-bot detection patterns. Its own acceptable use policy forbids getting around platform limits, anti-spam systems and community rules. If a platform flags the activity, the creator’s account takes the hit, and FanClaw’s terms describe the app as an assistance tool with no guaranteed outcome.

FanClaw’s own guide to the OnlyFans terms says the platform expects creators to tell fans when an AI writes their replies. At levels 3 and 4, without such a notice, a creator is working against that rule.

Where FanClaw keeps fan data

Fan records, conversations and content are stored on the creator’s computer in an AES-256 encrypted store keyed to a secret she controls. FanClaw’s servers handle licences and account emails only.

The AI itself is partly in the cloud. FanClaw says local models handle personal context, while large online models handle strategy without ever seeing fans or conversations. Its privacy policy routes those requests through OpenRouter to Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral AI or Google, without detailing their content. Stripe takes payments, Resend sends email, Vercel hosts the site, and PostHog receives usage data only if the creator turns telemetry on.

Who is behind FanClaw

The legal notice names Thomas Berthou, a sole trader registered in France since December 2024 in Pessac, near Bordeaux, under an engineering activity code, trading as FanClaw. The About page tells a bigger story, with two co-founders, a seed round, a studio in Buenos Aires, Paris, New York and Lisbon, and more than 30,000 creators. None of that appears in the French business register, and the creator count is hard to square with an app that is still waitlisted. The terms still carry a placeholder where the consumer mediator should be named. Support answers at [email protected], within 24 hours according to FanClaw.

FanClaw strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • A flat price, with no cut of sales.
  • Adjustable control, down to approving every message.
  • Encrypted local storage of fan data.
  • Seven platforms from one app.

Limitations

  • A waitlist with no date.
  • Automation designed to evade detection, at the account’s risk.
  • AI replies that OnlyFans expects to be disclosed.
  • A sole trader behind a site that describes a funded startup.
  • No refund for a started month.

FanClaw or a human chat team

Boss Agency sells human chatters at £7 an hour plus 10% of the revenue they generate. FanClaw swaps the people for software at a fixed monthly price. Either way, fans are no longer talking to the creator herself.
