ElevenLabs review: AI voices for adult sites

elevenlabs.io

ElevenLabs generates voices, dubbing, music and sound effects, with a commercial license from $6 a month. Using a real person’s voice requires their consent.

Our verdict on ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs suits an adult site that wants voice-overs, audio stories or dubbing with synthetic voices or its own cloned voice, from the $6 plan up. Cloning a third party without consent is off the table, and the voice you record comes with a perpetual license to ElevenLabs.

ElevenLabs plans and credits

The free plan is for non-commercial use only. A commercial license starts with Starter at $6 a month and 30,000 credits. Creator costs $22 for 121,000 credits, Pro $99 for 600,000, Scale $299 and Business $990. Annual billing charges ten months for twelve. Payment is by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Every product draws on one credit pool, at very different rates: 1 credit per character of speech, 900 a minute of music, 1,000 a minute of voice changing, 3,000 a minute of automatic dubbing without watermark and 10,000 a minute in Dubbing Studio without watermark. Unused credits roll over for up to two months, but are lost on a downgrade or cancellation. Without a plan, the API bills speech per use: $0.08 per 1,000 characters on the new v4 and on v3, and $0.04 on v4 Turbo, Flash and Turbo.

Real voices and the license you grant ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs bans using another person’s voice without consent, and its policy names unauthorized sexualization of that voice. Passing off a generated voice as a human one is banned too. A site that wants a performer’s voice needs that person’s consent on file.

Users keep their output. In return, they grant ElevenLabs a perpetual, irrevocable license on what they upload, voice included, to improve the service and build new products, with a pledge not to sell that voice on its own without permission.

ElevenLabs strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • 74 languages listed on every plan.
  • A commercial license from $6 a month.
  • Output owned by the user.

Limitations

  • A perpetual license on your recorded voice.
  • Credits forfeited on cancellation.
  • No company address published.
  • Promoting sexual services is banned, which rules out an escort directory.

ElevenLabs versus Featherless

Featherless hosts eight open audio models, including Kokoro, Chatterbox and Qwen3-TTS, in a mostly text catalog. ElevenLabs sells its own voice models, plus dubbing, music and sound effects.
