Our verdict on Easy Age Verify

Easy Age Verify suits a WordPress webmaster who wants a clean, free, full-screen adult content warning that does not block search engines. The free version is enough to hide the site behind an opaque screen.

It verifies nothing, though: visitors click yes or type a date. Where real age checks are required, you need a verification provider.

What Easy Age Verify actually checks

Easy Age Verify asks visitors to click yes or, in premium, enter a birthdate. Nothing verifies the answer, so it works as a content warning. For an adult site that must run real age checks, use a provider that checks an ID, a card or a face.

The readme says the free plugin contains everything needed to age gate visitors. Turnkey settings cover adult at 18+, vape and alcohol at an editable 21+. By default the page is hidden 100% behind an opaque background, WooCommerce included. Premium adds birthdate validation with a custom age, page targeting, a “remember me” box, editable and translatable text, a logo, colors and background transparency.
