CoinPal review: crypto payments for individual merchants

coinpal.io

CoinPal is a hosted crypto payment gateway that accepts merchants without a company and features live streaming, dating and chat. It charges 1% per transaction, with no setup or monthly fee.

Our verdict on CoinPal

CoinPal suits a webmaster selling under their own name, on a cam, dating or chat site, who wants a gateway that plugs straight into their store. Fees are low, and the referral program pays a share of the fees of referred merchants.

The company behind it is vague, and the terms leave wide room to turn a business away.

What CoinPal charges

The referral page puts the transaction fee at 1.00%. The home page promises no account fee, no setup fee, no monthly fee and no hidden costs. The terms point to a fee schedule on the website, but /pricing returns a 404 and no pricing page appears in the menu. The home page also shows a 100% money-back guarantee without explaining it.

CoinPal for individual merchants

CoinPal says it accepts individual merchants, with an easy identity check and onboarding in five minutes. Its terms do provide for identity, fraud and background checks at any time. A webmaster with no company can open an account, but will be vetted.

Industries CoinPal accepts

The home page features live streaming, dating and chat, and claims no industry limitations. The documentation cites more than 100 industries served, including streaming, dating and VPNs. The word adult does not appear. The terms ban prostitution and let the group turn away any activity it deems contrary to morals and ethics or unacceptable.

Supported coins

The home page claims 61 cryptocurrencies, 170+ wallets and 54+ currencies. The documentation speaks of 50+ coins, including bitcoin, ether and USDT. Merchants can keep taking Binance Pay. The services cover crypto-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat exchange.

Integrating CoinPal

CoinPal plugs into WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, Magento, OpenCart, PrestaShop, Zen Cart and Shopyy, or connects through an API and SDKs. Webhooks report every payment. An option automatically refunds an underpayment or overpayment.

The CoinPal referral program

The referral program pays 35% of the transaction fees of referred merchants, monthly and for as long as they process payments. A webmaster who advises other sites can earn recurring income this way.

Who runs CoinPal

The terms name Coinpal Group, a group of companies, with no country or registration number on the displayed pages. The home page says it is supported by Glocash, a fintech holding an electronic money institution licence. No licence held by CoinPal itself appears on the pages read. A complaint is acknowledged within five business days, with an indicative handling time of fifteen.
