Our verdict on ClipBucket

ClipBucket suits a webmaster who wants a free adult tube on their own server, as long as they install the ClipBucket V5 fork. The fork runs on PHP 8, ships releases and provides a Docker image.

The official download button leads to a repository archived since 2022, behind a full lead form.

ClipBucket V5, the maintained fork

The ClipBucket V5 fork still ships releases, the latest in its 5.5.3 branch in September 2026. It supports PHP 8.1 to 8.5 and MySQL 9 in strict mode, ships a Docker image, and recently added HLS conversion with multiple audio tracks and subtitles. GitHub detects no license on this repository or the official one, even though the project calls itself open source, so get a written answer before building a business on it.

Before any file, the site asks for your name, work email, company, website, country, phone, plan and monetization model, then sends codes by email and by phone. The final button points to the official GitHub repository, archived, with code last pushed in September 2022, the last release in January 2019 and 46 issues left open. The requirements page still lists CentOS 6, PHP 7.3 and MySQL 5.6 or 5.7.
