The terms to read before paying EscortScripts

• No updates. EscortScripts states it does not offer software, plugin or script updates, and recommends not updating.
• Partly encrypted code. The source is delivered open except the functions files, which stay encoded, and you have no right to access them.
• Vendor installation only. The team installs the directory script and needs FTP, MySQL and cPanel access.
• No refunds after access. Once the script is uploaded or access is given, funds cannot be refunded, and Bitcoin payments are never refunded.
• One domain. The licence covers a single domain or IP address. Switching domains costs $200, unless Google bans the site or a state authority blocks it.
• Support caps. Thirty free days, replies in 24 to 48 hours, at most twelve requests and twenty minutes of work a week, English only, Monday to Friday 9 to 6 Central European Time.

What an EscortScripts directory costs

The directory costs $588, the agency script $388 and the independent site $114, one-time and in US dollars. The directory order form adds $60 to remove the “provided by www.escortscripts.com” footer credit, and $122 for a German, Spanish, French or Italian front end. The licence terms also offer credit removal for $20 if you give up the 30 days of free support. Prices can change at the vendor’s discretion without notice.

A server without a CDN

The server needs Linux, PHP 8.1 with OPcache, memcached, MySQL 5.6 or MariaDB 10, Apache or OpenLiteSpeed, ionCube Loader 12 or 13 and the PHP eval() function enabled. The list also says “CDN disabled,” which rules out putting Cloudflare in front of the site. The vendor recommends 4 GB of memory and Vultr hosting.
