Eporner publishes its whole video catalogue as a CSV file rebuilt every day, with categories, quality and models that the live interface leaves out. A second file lists removed videos, and the JSON or XML interface needs no key.

Our verdict on Eporner API

Eporner API suits a developer who wants a full adult video index refreshed nightly, with categories and quality to filter on. Embedding the videos on a commercial tube is not allowed, since the player is for personal sites only.

The Eporner catalogue export

The CSV export holds every video with nine fields: ID, URL, length, title, categories, keywords, thumbnail, quality and models. Quality takes seven values, from 240p to 2160p. Each file comes with 190x152, 427x240 or 640x360 thumbnails, as plain text, gzip or zip. The full file with 427x240 thumbnails weighs 1.99 GB, or 497 MB gzipped. The removed-video file, 153 MB, is refreshed daily too, and the API’s removed method now redirects to it.

The RSS feeds on the same page have not been rebuilt for over a year, and they leave out gay content.

The live interface

The JSON or XML interface needs no account and no key. It returns up to 1,000 videos per call, counts 4,478,729 videos by default and 5,421,061 with gay content. A keyword search stops at 100,000 results. Each video comes with twelve fields, without category, quality or models. The embeddable player may only go on a personal, non-commercial site with a visible link back to eporner.com.

Eporner API versus RedTube API

RedTube API also lists deleted videos, 12,230,870 of them, through a paged method of its own. Eporner hands the same kind of list over as one daily file, next to a full catalogue export.

RedTube API

RedTube API returns twenty videos per call, with no account and no key, each with its tags and player address. Separate lists give 111 categories and 23,480 performers.
